Autumn Colours
Shot with a Lumix G5 today. My first attempt at manipulating a RAW image in PSE11. Light manipulation of colour temp, saturation, shadows, clarity and unsharp mask. Your comments welcome!

Re: Autumn Colours
Harvey, a lovely shot. I really like the road leading us through the trees into the far distance. The colours are beautiful.
I wish you had a Wendy on a bike cycling towards us. Remind me to explain what a Wendy is when we next meet up.
I would be tempted to try to clone some more leaves to fill the blue spot top right. it distracts me a little. Perhaps it would be easier to trim a bit off the top as it feels top heavy BUT that might be a mistake in that some of the impact is due to the large expanse of leaves. This is where I would try both options and see what I like the best.
Some of the grass / leaves in the foreground might be a tad too bright. The contrast would really drag the eye down the tunnel to the light patch.

Re: Autumn Colours
Hi, Colour and tones look lovely. There is a lot going for the composition, Whether one likes a figure in such a picture is very much a matter of personal preference I tend to keep them out! At the moment I can't make up my mind about the patch of sky top right.
Will try and come back to that later.

Lovely colours. I am looking at this on my phone but if it were to be a square format it really emphasises the tunnel through the trees.
Just a suggestion after moving it around my screen

Re: Autumn Colours
Pam I had been thinking the same as you particularly viewing it on a monitor. I wonder if the whole image would work well printed big so the eye then has the space to wander over the picture.
Re: Autumn Colours
Thanks for your comments which I appreciate. I have submitted one of the shots (but not this one) in the current open competition, shot with a longer lens (m4/3 olympus 40-150mm). No sky on that one and more emphasis on the tunnel effect. Nothing to worry David Noton I think, we'll see how it does!
